Stairs that lead from Jiro Ono's studio to his exhibition space. Aim is to look modern, elegant yet a hint of complexity in the detail in the riser reflect the elegant nature of his sushi that is subtly complex to create.
This stair leads from Jiro Ono's exhibition space to the ground level and is for the public to access his exhibition space. The choice of using wood reflects the traditional Japanese culture and I tried to use wood in a dynamic way.
This stair leads from Shinya Kimura's studio to his exhibition space. The choice of glass, metal and wire reflects his modern metallic nature of his motorcycles. The ramp and the stairs are combined in a way so that he can choose to walk or ride his motorbicycles up the ramp to the exhibition space.
